More and more, we are relying on mobile devices to keep our lives on track and remind us of the little things that we might forget, like changing the oil in your car, going to the dentist or paying a bill.
Alagasco understands and now offers the convenience of mobile Account Alerts. You can enroll to receive text message alerts on your mobile device to be notified when your bill is ready to view online, a payment is posted to your account or if your My Account password has changed.
By enrolling in Account Alerts, you will also be able to check the balance on your Alagasco account by texting BAL to ALAGAS (252427). When you text BAL to ALAGAS, you will receive a message with the current account balance and due date.
Paying your gas bill by text is easy. Just save a payment method on your account at myaccount.alagasco.com. If you have a saved payment method, you will be offered the option to pay-by-text when your bill is ready or when you text BAL to ALAGAS.
Here’s how to sign up for Account Alerts:
- Log into My Account at myaccount.alagasco.com. If you aren’t already a registered, you will just need to create an account.
- Go to the Account Alerts page to sign up for account text alerts.
- Enter your Mobile Phone Number and click “Enroll.”
- You will receive a confirmation code on your mobile device. You must enter this code in the box on myaccount.alagasco.com to confirm that the device is able to receive messages.
- Specify the type of Account Alerts you would like to receive:
- Alert me if my password is changed.
- Alert me when any payment is posted to my account.
- Alert me when I have a new bill available to view.
- Alert me if there are any rebates or promotional offers.
You can opt-out of Account Alerts at any time. All you have to do is text STOP to ALAGAS if you wish to no longer receive text messages from Alagasco, or you can log into My Account and go to the “Account Alerts” page and unsubscribe.
Alagasco does not charge for Account Alerts. However, your mobile service provider may charge for sending and receiving text messages on your mobile device. Check with your service provider for details on specific fees and charges that may apply.
