Alagasco responds to storm damage

Categories: Alagasco News

A line of storms moved across central Alabama in the early hours of Jan. 23, and Alagasco crews responded quickly to secure the affected areas.

Crews were mobilized in Trussville, Center Point, Oak Grove, Hueytown, Pinson and Clay. As many as 275 meters were turned off Monday due to damage in those areas. However, service has already been restored to some properties that sustained only minor damage.

Alagasco coordinated its field efforts with Trussville Utilities because of the shared service area.

Company-wide, there were seven employees directly or indirectly affected by the storm.

Restoration work will continue in the days ahead. If you smell natural gas, please call 1-800-292-4008.
